Production support is more than “resolved tickets.” A strong résumé explains the environment, level of responsibility, type of incidents, tools used, and business impact.

State the environment first.

Identify the application type, platform, technologies, business domain, and operating scale without disclosing confidential client information.

Explain your support level.

Describe whether you handled monitoring, triage, L1 handoff, L2 diagnosis, code fixes, batch recovery, release validation, root-cause analysis, or escalation to platform teams.

Show the tools in context.

Rather than listing JCL, CA7, Endevor, DB2, or monitoring tools in isolation, explain how you used them to diagnose failures, manage changes, validate releases, or restore processing.

Write accomplishment bullets with four parts.

  1. The environment or process.
  2. The issue or responsibility.
  3. The action you performed.
  4. The operational or business result.
Example

Supported COBOL and DB2 applications within a regulated transaction-processing environment; diagnosed batch failures using JCL and CA7, coordinated code changes through Endevor, and restored settlement processing within defined support windows.
